Outstanding Employee Service Award Nomination
Please submit nomination by May 6, 2024, before 5:00 P.M.
NOMINATIONS
In May of each year, the President will initiate the awards nomination process by sending nomination forms to all full-time staff and administrative employees within the University.
SELECTION COMMITTEE
The Selection Committee will consist of the previous award recipients for the past five years. The President will appoint the chairperson.
SELECTION PROCESS
Based on the criteria described in this form, the Selection Committee will choose the Outstanding Employee Service Award recipient(s). The Committee will also work with the President in planning and arranging the award and the Presentation Ceremony.
The name(s) of the recipient will be confidential until the Ceremony.
TYPE OF AWARDS
The award for the recipient(s) will include a recognition award, a check for $500, and a reserved parking space for the fiscal year following the award presentation.
AWARD PRESENTATION
The awardee announcement will take place at the annual TAMIU Staff Enrichment Day in May. If you submit a nomination, please make sure that the nominee is present at the Awards Ceremony.
Required Criteria
1. Two years of continuous service to the University as a full-time employee as of the date of the nomination.
2. One year of continuous service in current position as of date of the nomination.
3. Must not have received the Award within the past five years.
4. May not be a member of the Selection Committee for the current year or the following groups:
• Executive Council
• Academic Department Chair

Guidelines for Nominations
The nomination form should document that the nominee has accomplished more than his/her job requires, and that the results of those efforts are highly significant and clearly warrant recognition.
